If you’re like many Australians, you wake up each morning and flick on the TV, radio or scan the newspaper for a short list of ‘must-know’ information.

For me this list is a mix of financial and non-financial news. I want to know the latest gold and oil prices, how the overseas markets have done overnight, and what’s in store for the Aussie market today.

I also want to know what’s happening in the world of politics, business and the media. Some of it’s financial, such as the government’s latest plan for your retirement savings, the manipulation of interest rates, or plans to prop up the housing market…

But there’s also a bunch of stuff that’s completely non-financial. Things like the threat to your personal freedom from the government, the threat to Australia’s sovereignty from overseas super-powers, and the erosion of personal liberty in favour of collective and centralized action.

Most of this kind of information isn’t published by the mainstream media. Finding and analysing this news and data can take a lot of time — time that you probably don’t have in your busy day. The good news is I do, and I want to share what I find with you.

Each morning I scan a few hand-picked websites (some financial, some geopolitical, some local). On these websites there are hundreds of articles and stories published every hour from all over the globe. Most have no effect on your life — but some do.

I filter through hundreds of articles to pick out the news and events that have a direct on impact on you and your money. Then I dig deeper to figure what’s really going on and what steps you should take in response.

If this sounds like a service you could use (remember, it’s FREE), then you’ll find the Pursuit of Happiness email will become your go-to source of ‘must-know’ information.
